“Sometimes, we fear the unknown. We refuse to embrace change because it is uncomfortable.”
Have you ever had either a hurt or pattern in your life that as time goes by it seems to get heavier? It weighs you down and holds you back from the person you are trying to become in Christ, yet it’s an accessory that you’ve always had that not having it seems abnormal.
In Luke 8:26-39, Jesus came to the country of Gerasenes near Galilee. He came upon a man names Mob that was over come by demonic spirits. Everyone had given up on him.

Everyone had walked away from him. But His Jesus stayed.
Jesus began to cast out the evil spirits and He cast them out into a group of pigs. The pigs were taken over to the point their lives ended in death as they ran over the edge of the cliff.
Many onlookers went back and told others in the city. But the miracle was TOO MUCH for them! So much that they asked Jesus to leave.
Jesus has INTERRUPTED the dysfunction, but by doing so he also interrupted a life that had become predictable. Sometimes we will push away our blessings, so that we can stay in our own Hell and be comfortable because at least we know what to expect.
How crazy is that? We will stay in an abusive relationship because at least we know that person will be there when we go home. Or we will continue to let the enemy tell us lies and use medication to numb the pain versus stand in our authority. Stand up and continue to Praise our Lord even in the midst, allowing His melodies and promises to soothe our souls.
We want Healing. We want Relief. But we don’t always want to step out of what is comfortable in order to feel that long term deliverance into eternal peace, freedom, and order.
Jesus Christ wants us to feel something even more significant than just the comfort of this world and of the flesh.
When Jesus “interrupts” your life, Praise Him! Welcome Him In. Trust that because you are a Child of God your steps are ordered and He will be with you every step. Your strength comes from the Lord!
And after the healing comes, Share the seeds with others! Share the miracles with others so that they too can experience a release from bondage into eternal life!
